ACP Sleep Clinics Sleep Studies are conducted in the comfort of your own home. Our complete sleep study not only monitors your breathing activity but also monitors oxygen levels, heart rate, brain and muscle activity.

How do I perform the sleep study?

You will need to come into the clinic and one of our professionally trained team will set you up with the equipment required to diagnose your sleep. This will happen in a private consultation room and can take up to 1 hour to complete. Our team member will then do a series of configurations and tests to ensure the device is reading correctly and we can obtain the best possible information in your sleep study. Then you are able to leave the clinic with the equipment attached and leave it on overnight. Then you can remove the equipment and return it to our clinic in the morning.

How long does it take to get my results?

The information collected throughout your sleep study is sent to a registered technologist within 2 days of being received at the clinic (please note our clinic is not open on weekends/public holidays). The technologist will review and assess your data and then forward this to one of our sleep specialists.  The sleep specialists will then report their findings to your referring GP and the GP generally receives all of the reports within 4 business days.

How much is a sleep study?

Your GP has to refer you to our clinic for a sleep study to be performed. There may be a Medicare benefit applicable once your GP has assessed your eligibility. If there is a Medicare benefit available, your out of pocket costs are $xxx.
